WWF and Earth Hour Earth Hour is the largest international campaign of the World Wildlife Fund for our planet. Our way of life has a major impact on nature: large-scale deforestation and our energy consumption have a negative impact on the climate. Because the earth warms up, living areas of animals are affected. This is how the North Pole melts and coral reefs lose their color. How can we reduce our impact? It sometimes seems difficult to reduce our impact, but it is possible. We have to switch widely to energy from renewable sources such as sun and wind. In addition, deforestation must be tackled.
